IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Smoking in accommodation units are strictly prohibited.
- Accommodation units are serviced daily, except Sundays.
- Guests using the camping facilities must please bring their own power pointer adaptor.
- The standard size of a camp stand is 7m x 7m.
- No pets are allowed, except guide dogs.
- Own swimming towels and dishcloths must be provided.
- No music from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment is permitted at the resort.
Please consider the other guests by keeping the noise levels as low as possible.
Silence must be maintained between 22:00 and 07:00.
- No motorbikes or ATV four-wheelers are allowed at the resort.
- Only accepted swimwear is allowed.
- Please note that during our out of season midweeks, there may be conference and/or school groups at the resort.

- The restaurant hours are from 08:00 to 20:00.
- To qualify for membership rates, please specify your membership number as a special request.
The principal member must be in attendance upon arrival, identified by his/her membership card and ID/passport.
The principal member must be present during the entire stay at the resort.

Day visitors for ATKV members will be allowed based on available capacity.
- Only ATKV members can book beforehand and we can only accept bookings on (the Wednesday before arrival).
- Payment must be made together with the booking.
- Family and friends may be allowed to book during peak season, when there are ad hoc opportunities, and only a limited amount of bookings is permitted, namely five. It can only be considered if occupation is less than 80% and bookings can only be made on the Wednesday before a weekend. Payment must be made before arrival at the resort. During school holidays, the resort can decide for themselves whether they can allow more bookings, depending on the occupation of the resort.
- If you are expecting visitors during your stay, it has to be arranged at reception during office hours.
- The guest limit is eight people per accommodation unit or camp stand.
Terms and conditions for online bookings at the ATKV resorts
- The booking request merely represents an application for accommodation, and does not constitute an official reservation. The booking is only confirmed once the resort provides a booking confirmation.
- A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation account (including VAT) will be payable, and must be paid on or before the due date to confirm the booking.
- Deposits received will be forfeited in the event of cancellations. In addition, no money will be reimbursed if guests leave the resort earlier than planned (see cancellation policy).
- The payment of deposits must occur on or before the due date stipulated on the resort’s booking request form in order to secure bookings.
- Failure to pay the deposit on or before the due date will lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice.
- All outstanding costs must be paid in full before arrival.
- All amendments to bookings must be made in writing.
- Debit cards, Visa and Master credit cards as well as electronic transfers are all accepted payment methods.
- Reservation fees (including 15% VAT) apply.
- Special tariffs will be considered upon request and if possible.

Guests will also sign a form by which they undertake to adhere to the rules of the resort.
- No pets allowed, except guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired.
- Tariffs are subject to change without prior notice.
- There will be no minimum-stay requirement for accommodation or camping bookings over the March/April school holiday at any ATKV resort. However, if Easter weekend happens to coincide with this holiday, the long-weekend rule will apply, i.e. that bookings must be for the entire Easter weekend. Bookings at ATKV Eiland Spa for the June/July school holiday are subject to a minimum stay of five days for accommodation and 10 days for camping facilities. Month package bookings at ATKV Eiland Spa for the June/July school holiday are subject to a minimum stay of two months, and shall only be valid for two persons per booking. Visitors received during guests’ stay will be charged the normal tariffs for ATKV members or non-members, as the case may be. Bookings at any ATKV resort for the December/January school holiday are subject to a minimum stay of five days for accommodation and 10 days for camping facilities. Bookings may only be made per main member, and are not transferable. The first deposit, at 10% of the total booking cost, is payable:
- within one month of making a reservation at any ATKV resort in respect of Easter weekend and/or the March/April school holiday;
- within one month of making a reservation at ATKV Eiland Spa in respect of the June/July school holiday; and
- within one month of making a reservation at any ATKV resort in respect of the December/January school holiday, though no later than 31 December.
- Should you have Tjiengelieng available, this will only be taken into account once your booking request has been accepted.
Online booking credit card payments
- Preferred credit card payments: VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Diners Club International is not accepted.
- Payments will be made through PayBridge, a secure online payment gateway.

- You will be prompted to enter your credit card details in order for PayBridge to process the deposit.
Please take note: PayBridge is PCI compliant, therefore no card details will be stored.
- Once payment was processed by PayBridge, the accommodation will be paid within 2-3 working days.
- You may see the following message once the transaction is done: Your credit card was successfully debited by PayBridge relating to your accommodation booking.
IMPORTANT: The reference on your credit card statement will say 'PayBridge Accommodation' and not ATKV Klein-Kariba.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Rates include 15% VAT and are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Rates may be changed without prior notice.
- Upon arrival you will be:
- Required to complete and sign the resort’s indemnity form.
- Issued with a vehicle permit.
- Only certain unit types can accommodate an additional person. Please contact your resort of choice for more information. Please note that the additional person fee does not include a bed, mattress or linen.
- Group bookings apply when six or more accommodation units/camp stands are booked.
- No group gatherings are allowed between units/camp stands, groups must book a lapa (subject to availability).
- Relevant entertainment fees are applicable during certain peak periods. (Please enquire about the amount due.)
- Additional charges valid until 29 February 2024.
DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
- For cancellations more than 30 days before the date of arrival there will only be an administrative fee of R95 (R100 from 1 Aug 2024) for the repayment of the deposit.
- Between 0-7 days of arrival, forfeit the whole deposit 100%.
- Between 8-15 days of arrival forfeit 50%.
- Between 16-30 days of arrival forfeit 25%.
- In the case of cancellation because of death (or any other acceptable reasons out of your control) an administration fee of only R95 (R100 from 1 Aug 2024) will be required if you provide supporting evidence.
- Our deposit policy for the period October to December 2020, has been amended to make it easier for guests to pay off their bookings over a longer period of time. Please click here for more details.
- Bookings more than 30 days in advance of the date of arrival require a 50% deposit within 48 hours (including bookings within the preferred booking period) and the balance must be paid in full 30 days before arrival.
- Bookings less than 30 days in advance require a 100% deposit within 48 hours.
- Bookings for one night require 100% payments within 48 hours no matter how far in advance you made the booking.
- If the first deposit period is ignored, the booking might be cancelled.
- Payment arrangements will only be considered after the receipt of the first 50% deposit. Other arrangements can be done from that time until 30 days before arrival by when the full outstanding amount should be paid.
- Cancellations for conference groups:
Small to medium-sized bookings:
- 42 days (6 weeks) or more days before the arrival date – client is free to cancel the booking, to downgrade or to move the date without cancellation fee.
- 41-28 days (between 6 and 4 weeks) before the arrival date – 40% of the total invoice amount is payable.
- 27-15 days (between 4 and 2 weeks) before the arrival date – 75% of the total invoice amount is payable.
- 14-0 days before the arrival date – 100% of the total invoice amount is payable.
- Until 48 hours before arrival the number of participants may be reduced by 10% without any penalties only through written communication.
Bigger group bookings, with more than 70% of the resort's capacity:
- 68 days (24 weeks / 6 months) or more days before the arrival date – client is free to cancel the booking, to downgrade or to move the date without cancellation fee.
- 67-56 days (between 24 and 8 weeks) before the arrival date – 40% of the total amount that is payable.
- 56-15 days (between 48and 2 weeks) before the arrival date – 75% of the total invoice amount is payable.
- 14-0 days before the arrival date – 100% of the total invoice amount is payable.
- Until 48 hours before arrival the number of participants may be reduced by 10% without any penalties only through written communication.
OTA CANCELLATION:
- Free cancellation before 14 days of arrival. 100% payable if you cancel within 14 days.
- R 100 admin fee within the 14 days due to illness / death.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COMPETITIONS AND PROMOTIONS
Competitions
- Where accommodation is provided as a prize, it excludes transport, meals and beverages.
- Accommodation prizes must be claimed within three months following the date of the draw.
- Prizes may not be exchanged for cash.
- The ATKV will not become involved in negotiations regarding winners and prizes.
Promotions
- Promotion can be stopped without notice.
- Standard cancellation policy applies.
- No discount for group bookings, unless indicated on promotion. Only one unit/camping promotion is valid per booking.
- Only new bookings qualify for promotions.
- Promotion can be cancelled or stopped when bookings are full.
- Promotional terms and conditions can be added without notice.
- Errors and omissions excepted.

Member online booking terms & conditions
The following terms and conditions apply:

By using this online booking portal, you confirm that you will abide by the following rules and if the rules are broken, your booking will be cancelled, payment will have to be made according to the non-member rate and your membership status may be reconsidered.
Members may book 3 units or camp stands at the member rate. Please note that this benefit can only be used where the units form part of a single booking, and cannot be broken up as 2 or 3 individual bookings. If 4 or more units are required, the first 3 units may be reserved through this portal, and any additional units through www.atkvresorts.co.za/book. Subject to availability. Phone-in bookings do not qualify for this offer. Arrival and departure dates must be before 28 February 2025.
- Low season/Out of season midweek (Sunday to Thursday): A member can book three accommodation units or camping stands in total.
- Low season/Out of season weekend (Friday and Saturday): A member can book three accommodation units or camping stands in total.
- Middle/Shoulder/Long weekend season: A member can book two accommodation units or camping stands in total.
- High/Peak season: A member can book only one accommodation unit or camping stand.
Members are not allowed to share the web link (URL) with non-members. Non-members who use the link to make a booking will have to pay the full membership fee or the difference between the member and non-member rate.
Members' tariffs also only applies to bookings that were handled by the ATKV directly via telephone, email or via our online portal, and not to bookings made via third-party booking agents.
A member under whom the booking is made must be present on arrival with their ID/passport as proof. The member must also be present on the resort for the full duration of the booked stay.
The standard resort terms and conditions still apply, as well as the online booking conditions.
Permission for the use of photos and information
Photos that will be taken of guests/customers at the ATKV resort and written material produced by participants in the ATKV resort's activities may be used and applied in one of the following ways:
- To keep record of the ATKV resort's activities.
- As a photo focus point for the evaluation of an activity.
- For marketing purposes.
Individuals' names or any of those individuals' or the group's information will not be provided and/or made available by the ATKV or its representative.
The ATKV reserves the right to refuse the disclosure of photos if the ATKV views this refusal as not being in the child's best interest.
The photos and/or written material will not be sold or released.
The photos and/or written material will become the property of the ATKV.
